Budgeting and Procurement decisions

Scan Optics Portable Operating Microscope SO-111TZ
The IAPB Standard List covers all essential medical, technical and technological needs (including computers, cars and mobiles) of an eye clinic or hospital.

The list provides a carefully evaluated range of technologies from trusted suppliers, enabling IAPB members and their partners to access them at specially negotiated prices. Its key strength is that it empowers procurement managers or ophthalmologists grappling with tight budgets to choose from various options in the market.
  • Special prices for IAPB members and their partners. The list pools together the procurement decisions of a number of users – of all sizes – to negotiate prices with suppliers.
  • Indicative pricing for others. Non-members can see indicative pricing – it can still be useful to understand the prevailing prices in the market.
  • Can be used to prepare grant applications. The list is backed by some of the biggest NGOs in the sector; using its prices lends credibility to grant applications.
  • Up-to-date pricing and latest product list. The products and prices are managed online, ensuring that the list is always updated.
Products listed are thoroughly vetted by IAPB, including formal and informal inputs from a number of eye health experts who test them out in the real world.
